1408)12:56 PM-MVA-Canton, ME-Canton Point Rd. Jaws used to extricate a trapped victim, unknown extent of injury.

1407)AM-SNOWMOBILE ACCIDENT-St. Albans, ME-Big Indian Lake at the Causeway. A snowmobile struck the Causeway, a road which connects to Birch Island, and was thrown from the sled. He was flown by Lifeflight to EMMC in Bangor where he died from his injuries.

1405)7:35 PM-MVA-Auburn, NH-471 Pingree Hill Rd. A van struck a tree with entrapment, jaws used. A Derry medic responded to assist.

1404)5:15 PM-W/F-Biddeford, ME-372 Alfred St. Heavy fire on the 2nd floor of a 2.5 story wood frame apartment building, fire extended into the attic. 1 female 10-45 was rescued by responding firefighters and transported to SMMC in Biddeford. M/A engine and rescue responded from Saco to the scene.

1403)1:10 PM-2nd.AL-Contoocook, NH-41 Woodland Dr. A 2-story house with attached garage heavily involved on arrival, the house was destroyed. A child playing with matches has been the determined cause of the fire. M/A responded from Hopkinton, Concord, Henniker, Warner, Bow and Webster.

1402)10:20 AM-W/F-Fairfield, ME-1 Dyer St. Fire showing from 2nd floor of a structure, quickly knocked down. M/A responded from Waterville to scene and Winslow for coverage. Fire was caused by an overloaded electrical strip in a bedroom.

1401)7:25 PM-3rd.AL-Portland, ME-220 Industrial Way @ Elite Inspection Services. Heavy smoke on arrival from a 1-story brick 150X50 commercial building, went to defensive operations. HAZ/MAT team requested to scene reference to low level radioactive material stored at the business, there was no leak of material. M/A responded to the fire and for coverage.

1400)6:00 PM-MVA-Ossipee, NH-Route 16. A car off the road into the woods, 1 10-45 code 2, a 7 y/o child, was airlifted by Dhart to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Another 10-45 code 2 and 3 10-45's code 3 were transported to Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro. The accident is under investigation.

1399)6:00 PM-W/F-Portland, ME-17 Washington Ave. A structure fire, quickly knocked down.

1398)2:22 PM-W/F-Bangor, ME-53-55 South Park St. A fire was started accidently by a worker using a propane torch while repairing front steps of a 2-story apartment bulding, the fire extended into the 2nd floor. Three residents were displaced from thier homes.

1397)2:00 PM-W/F-Nashua, NH-41 Lochmere Ln. A fire in a condominium was set by the former occupant just prior to an auction of the property. Several fires were set throughout the unit and caused extensive damage. A warrant for arson has been issued for the subject.

1396)11:15 AM-MVA-Augusta, ME-Route 105 eastbound. A Volkswagon Beetle left the road and struck a tree with entrapment, jaws used for extrication. 1 10-45 code 2 female victim was airlifted to CMMC in Lewiston.

1395)05:10 AM-3rd.AL-Webster, NH-255 Tyler Rd. A large barn fully involved extended to three smaller sheds, all the buildings were destroyed. A nearby farmhouse was saved. Several animals escaped from the historic barn, which was built in 1861, and ran into the woods, many antiques were lost in the blaze. Extensive M/A responded to the fire.

1394)9:02 PM-MVA-South Thomaston, ME-Near 177 Buttermilk Ln. A single vehicle went off the road, struck several trees and rolled over. 1 passenger was 10-45 code 1, the driver was transported with minor injuries, both were trapped in the car and jaws were used for extrication. M/A from Rockland with jaws and an ambulance.

1393)4:55 PM-W/F-Kennebunk, ME-155 Summer St. A 2-story house with heavy fire on 2nd floor and attic area, M/A responded from Kennebunkport.

1392)10:30 AM-MVA-Alexander, ME-Route 9 (The Airline Rd). Two vehicles collided head-on, one person was killed and 2 others with serious injuries. Lifeflight responded to transport 1 victim to the hospital, State Police responded for reconstruction.

1391)09:05 AM-WORKPLACE ACCIDENT-Jefferson, ME-1376 South Clary Rd (Route 215). A subject was working a boom on top of a pulp truck when it slid down an enbankment and rolled over, 1 10-45 code 1 on scene with cpr in progress. OSHA has been called in to investigate the accident.

1390)06:40 AM-MVA-Caribou, ME-Route 1 & Main St. A van struck a car, a passenger with serious injuries from the car was transported to EMMC in Bangor by Lifeflight. 4 10-45's code 3 were taken to Cary Medical Center by ambulance. The accident is under investigation.

1387)8:05 PM-W/F-Meredith, NH-24 Ridge rd. Fire in a house, M/A from Laconia for coverage.

1386)4:30 PM-MVA-Houlton, ME-Bangor St. A passenger in a car was killed in a 2 car collision, 4 other occupants in the vehicles were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Houlton Police are investigating the accident.

1385)3:45 PM-MVA-Sanbornton, NH-I-93 southbound, north of Exit 22. Vehicle struck a tree with entrapment of 1 victim and another was ejected, jaws used for extrication. Dhart & Lifeflight helicopters responded to transport 2 10-45's code 2 in critical condition. 2 other 10-45's code 3 were transported to the hospital. M/A responded from Tilton-Northfield.
(Note - A 17 y/o girl involved in the accident died at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center on 12/29/04)

1384)1:00 PM-MVA-Surry, NH-Route 12. A SUV traveling northbound lost control and collided with 2 on-coming cars. 2 10-45's code 1 and 1 10-45 code 2 who was transported to the hospital. All three injured were drivers, no passengers reported in the vehicles.

1383)1:00 PM-INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT-Bangor, ME-Off Franklin St @ Norumbega Park. A city employee working on a small bucket loader died when he got crushed underneath the loader. Bangor Police and the Maine Dept of Labor are investigating the accident.

1382)05:00 AM-W/F-Rochester, NH-97 Hansonville Rd. A 2-story barn fully involved, no exposure problems. M/A responded from Barrington & Somersworth to the fire.

1381)05:00 AM-2nd.AL-Amherst, NH-Route 101A. A fire destroyed the Pacific Restaurant and another business called "Nails For You" at the Amherst Plaza, M/A responded from Milford, Merrimack, Mont Vernon, Hollis and Nashua, with Bedford covering.

1380)12:15 AM-W/F-Searsport, ME-20 Nickels Rd. A house fire, 4 occupants were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. M/A responded to the fire.

1371)10:00 PM-ACW-Cornville, ME-344 Molunkus Rd. Fire in an addition to a camper-trailer, the fire was contained to the addition. M/A responded from Skowhegan.

1370)6:08 PM-W/F-Eliot, ME-47 Courtney Way in Marshwood Estates. A fire in a double wide mobile home, caused by wiring under the structure and mostly exterior damage occurred. M/A responded from Kittery, South Berwick, & Rollinsford,NH.
(Note-Units responded from the first fire in Eliot, the fires were not related and were about 1/2 mile apart.)

A car struck a pickup truck head-on with entrapment, jaws used. 1 10-45 code 2+ female was transported to Blue Hill Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The other driver was also transported with head lacerations. The scene was reconstructed by State Police.

1368)4:43 PM-W/F-Eliot, ME-14 Hawk Way in Marshwood Estates. A dryer fire in a mobile home extended to the structure, M/A responded from Kittery, South Berwick, & Rollinsford,NH.

1367)3:00 PM-W/F-Alexander, ME-Flat Rd. A house fire, extended from the chimney and damaged the attic and kitchen area. M/A responded from Baileyville.

1366)10:55 AM-MVA-Gray, ME-I-95 (Maine Turnpike) northbound at mile 61. A single vehicle involved with entrapment, jaws used. 1 10-45 transported to MMC in Portland.

1365)01:10 AM-MVA-Milford, NH-Route 101 southbound at Route 101A. Vehicle went off the road and a male driver was apparently ejected, he was dead on the scene. The accident is under investigation.

An 8 y/o girl was critically injured and flown by Dhart to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Three other persons in the car were not injured, the accident is under investigation.

1356)09:43 AM-MVA-Monmouth, ME-Route 202 @ at Ferraiolo Corp. A tractor trailor unloading crushed rock rolled on its side when the load shifted, pinning the driver in the cab. Jaws used to extricate him, he sufferred several broken ribs.

1355)01:00 AM-HAZ/MAT-Poland, ME-Route 26 by the Poland High School. A fully loaded gasoline tanker leaking, crews cleaning up spill from damaged piping on tanker, DEP notified.

1351)11:00 AM-ACW-Winterport, ME-Stream Rd. A wall fire in a house caused by a wood stove which had been improperly installed. The fire was quickly knocked down with minor damage.

Heavy fire & smoke extended throughout a 2.5 story wood frame duplex, 1 10-45 civilian on scene. 3 rescues responded, M/A from Newington, Kittery, and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard to the fire, Hampton, Rye, & North Hampton for coverage.

1343)12:30 PM-W/F-Presque Isle, ME-9 Fort Rd. A furnace malfunction caused a fire which spread through the basement and 1st floor of a 2-story house, heavy damage to the cellar and 1st floor and smoke damage on the 2nd floor.

1342)12:30 PM-W/F-Lee, ME-85 Corbett Rd. A house well involved, 1 female was rescued through a bedroom window. Due to shortage of firefighters, Maine wardens and forest rangers responded to assist fighting the fire. A female has been charged with setting the fire.

1327)7:59 PM-MVA-Hebron, ME-Route 119. A single vehicle rolled on its side with entrapment, jaws used. Lifeflight responded to transport 1 10-45 code 2. M/A responded from Paris FD with jaws.

1326)06:55 AM-EXPLOSION-South Portland, ME-Western Ave @ Fairchild Semiconductor. An explosion occurred while a tanker truck was off loading hydrogen, no one was injured in the blast. Safety features on the truck and responding firefighters contained the fire from the hydrogen venting from the truck. A Haz/Mat team responded to the scene.

1324)10:30 PM-MVA-Brewer, ME-I-395. A pickup truck struck a guardrail and rolled down an enbankment. Two occupants were ejected, 1 10-45 code 1 on scene, and the second was 10-45 code 2, he was transported to EMMC in Bangor in critical condition. Penobscot County SO & State Police reconstructed the accident.

1323)3:50 PM-MVA-Portsmouth, NH-I-95 southbound near Exit 3A. A tractor trailer struck by a car with entrapment, jaws used. Two rescues responded to the scene. 2 10-45's code 3 were transported.

An ammonia leak in the rink, numerous people had to be checked out and 4 persons were transported to 2 different hospitals in the area. A 2nd alarm EMS call went out for rescue personell and a haz/mat team was called into the scene. M/A responded from East Andover, Meredith, Grafton, Franklin, Tilton-Northfield, Bristol and Winnisquam.

1315)2:05 PM-MVA-Madison, NH-Route 16. Jaws used to extricate a seriously injured subject from a vehicle.

1312)6:00 PM-MVA-Owls Head, ME-Ingraham Dr. A cadillac crossed the road and struck an on-coming pickup head-on, the male driver of the car was killed in the collision. A man and his granddaughter in the pickup were transported to Penobscot Bay Medical Center with minor injuries. Police reconstructed the scene.

1311)11:28 AM-MVA-Wells, ME-I-95 (Maine Turnpike) at mile 19 northbound. A vehicle rolled over with entrapment, jaws used. 2 rescues responded to the scene.

1310)09:20 AM-MVA-Nashua, NH-Kinsley St by St. Josephs Hospital. Jaws used to extricate trapped subject, vehicle reported to be on fire. Unknown injuries.

1309)06:10 AM-W/F & HAZ/MAT-Scarborough, ME-5 Gibson Rd at Environ Clean Technology. Fire in a large warehouse involving chemicals, HAZ/MAT teams responded to the fire. The fire was mostly extinguished by a sprinkler system, M/A EMS units responded and area businesses and residences evacuated. Several towns responded M/A with fire/hazmat units.

1292)1:00 PM-MVA-Levant, ME-Stetson Rd. A car crossed the center line due to icy conditions and was struck by a van, the car rolled onto its side. 1 female was trapped in the car, jaws were used. She was extricated and taken to EMMC in Bangor, as were a woman and her 2 children from the van, they had minor injuries.
